Terms and Conditions


Placing an order shall be treated as an offer by you to purchase the goods and as acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. These terms and conditions are subject to change without prior notice.

The submission of an order and payment thereof, is an offer by you to purchase goods and forms a binding agreement governed by the laws of England and Wales subject to these terms and conditions. We may accept or decline your offer to purchase at our discretion. In the event that we decline, any money paid to us will be returned to you within 7 days in the method by which you placed the order. Goods are subject to availability. We are not liable for any compensation if we do not supply the goods. Ownership of the goods only passes to you when they have been paid for in full. A binding contract is formed when the goods have been dispatched by us.

Please Note: The colours of the fabrics and threads are as accurate as possible but may not be exactly as you view them on your computer because of the different ways colour is shown on different monitors. If you wish to colour match a fabric or thread, please send a sample and we will do our best to colour match it for you. If you are unsure about the colour – please contact us first. We cannot be held responsible if you are disappointed in the colour.

Please Note: We do not supply samples.


We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order(s) resulting from an error or omission by us. This includes but is not limited to typographical errors. If there is a price increase for any reason, we shall inform you and give you the right to cancel.

If an order is sent by mistake, you are responsible for returning that order to us, or to any address we give by the same method in which it was delivered. i.e. if it was sent first class signed for, it must be returned in that way or forwarded to another customer as we request. We will ask permission to exchange addresses. You must obtain proof of postage. Upon delivery to the correct person, a refund for postage will be made to you. We allow 7 days from receipt for you to make the return or forward it as requested. Upon completion, your correct order will be dispatched to you.


Payment for goods on this website must be made using Paypal and includes cheque and card payments through Paypal and must be made in Pounds Sterling, GBP. Payment through Paypal is secure and you do not need to create an account with them to make your payment. It also means that your credit card information is not stored by us. Please note we cannot take credit card orders over the phone. You can send a cheque by post if you prefer, made payable to Karen Platt. Your goods will be dispatched upon clearance of the funds.

Delivery & Postage costs

You can choose the method of delivery by making a selection of available deliveries given on the website including overseas deliveries. We can send orders to any country – if yours is not listed, please contact us for shipping and handling prices BEFORE you order. If for any reason the shipping is not calculated, please contact us BEFORE ordering.

Please allow up to 28 days for delivery, although most goods will be dispatched the same or next day. Part of your order may have to be specially dyed. These times are approximate as delays can occur that are out of our control.

We shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods unless caused by our negligence.

Refunds Policy

We trust that you will be happy with your order. The UK Distance Selling Regulations provide you with a period in which you can change your mind and cancel your order. Written notice must be given to us within seven working days from the date of receipt of purchase.

You will be wholly responsible for the cost of delivery to you and the safe return of the goods paid by you. Goods must be in pristine condition and be in the original packaging. Refunds (less delivery charges on original order) will be made within 7 days. Do not return items without contacting us first.  All returns must be sent by recorded delivery.

Orders are checked by at least two people. If you think there is a shortage in your order or your order is damaged in the post, please contact us within 3 working days of delivery. In the case of damaged goods, please retain all packaging.

IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS WE SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR GOODS SAID TO BE DAMAGED ON DELIVERY. If the goods returned under this clause are found to be in full working order these will be made available to you for collection.


If the goods you have ordered are out of stock or unavailable then we shall contact you as soon as possible.
